MULTI-ROOM: The ability to distribute audio and or video signals to various parts of your residence other than the main room where the equipment is located

MULTI-ZONE: The ability to do the above plus being able to listen to or watch two or more different sources at the same time

KEYPAD CONTROL: A wall mounted keypad device which will allow you to control your audio/video equipment, (sends control signals to your equipment via wire) without your equipment being in the same room. (ex: keypad located in Master Bedroom, equipment located in Family Room. You could listen to a CD or watch a movie in your Master Bedroom whose signals would be sent by the equipment in the Family Room).

SPEAKER DISTRIBUTION: The ability to have sound, (speakers) in as many locations, (inside and outside) at your residence as you would like.

RF DISTRIBUTION: The ability to have picture (TV, VHS, Satellite, etc.) sent to various locations in your residence.

LIGHTING CONTROL: The ability to have control of the intensity of lighting within any given room (ex: low, medium, high) via wall keypad or wireless remote control. And to be able to control groups of light fixtures for different combinations of on-off functions and intensity of lighting.

HOME AUTOMATION: Has the broadest term of all of the above. It can mean anything from being able to control your equipment with the touch of one button on a wall mounted keypad or wireless remote to tying in all electronically controlled systems in your home (audio and video systems, security, lighting, sprinkler, heating and air conditioning, etc,.) to one main controller, wired or wireless, or to various controllers throughout your residence.
